Sinem tells us she did not leave volleyball consciously but she had to: ‘’I did not leave volleyball consciously. I had to quit. After 2006-2007 season, I wanted to go Karşıyaka from Türk Telekom due to my husband Ahmet Toçoğlu was transferred to Arkas. Some troubles prevented this transfer and my volleyball life is over”.

Sinem thinks that she quit volleyball which she had served for 13 years, so early just like us. ‘’Because of my age, I would play long years” says Sinem, moreover she does not think to come back after 2 seasons.
Sinem Akap Toçoğlu also reported she has had many difficulties when she quits volleyball, ‘’It was so hard for me to quit volleyball in the begining. But I am so peaceful and happy now. That’s why I spend all my energy for my husband’s achievement. I can say that I am still with volleyball for this reason even though I quit. Of course I miss playing, it is almost impossible not to miss something you have had for 13 years. However I have no idea to be in volleyball now. I can not say anything about the future”.
